Adventures in Paradise- Surf Charters - Tiki Tu

Let Adam, your skipper and a surfer of 30 years, take you away from Kavieng in his 33' sailing catamaran, Tiki Tu. As the perfect guide he will take you to the more remote islands where there are no other surfers, no other boats, no crowds, just you and your mates and all the waves which Adam has found and named. The northerly swell season runs from November to April with consistent surf on world-class breaks.

We have heaps of fun getting out amongst the islands, surfing breaks that had never been ridden before, and obtaining information from the local landowners and reef owners about prevailing conditions. The 'hard work' has paid off, and we have a good selection and variety of waves, for this predominantly unchartered area.

There is so much potential up here, and we feel that we have only scratched the surface. See it and experience it now before everyone else finds out about it.

Nusa Island Retreat

Discover Australia's unique neighbour and be one of the first to surf some world class waves in total serenity. The peak surf season extends from November through late April with consistent swells generated from the Bismarck Sea and Pacific Ocean. Conditions may vary around the start and finish dates, due to the effects of El-Nino and El-Nina.

Kavieng and its environs form part of the Bismarck Archipelago, an extensive chain of islands with fringing coral reefs. It is convenient to a healthy selection of quality left and right breaks, several in the immediate vicinity. A surfer's paradise with consistent swells between 3 - 5 foot, getting up to 6-8 foot and sometimes bigger. All breaks can be surfed on any tide and the set ups vary depending on conditions. The best breaks - including the famous Piccinniny Pt - are those nearest the camp."The Retreat" has the boats and all the necessary local knowledge and information, so there's nothing for you to worry about. We recommend you bring a short board (6`0 - 6`4) and something a bit longer between (6`8 - 7`2) or a single midrange board.
